Held during the month of May, the Festival of Architecture and Design (fAd) is a month-long showcase and celebration of architecture and design featuring exhibitions, films, symposiums, lectures, walking tours, readings, book launches, and award celebrations.

fAd culminates in Doors Open Toronto, held the last weekend in May, in which 100+ buildings of architectural, historic, cultural and social significance open their doors to the public, allowing visitors free access to properties that are either not usually open to the public or would normally charge an entrance fee.

The TSA joins the City of Toronto and other organizations in celebrating architecture and design by hosting various events such as the TSA film series presented in four weekly segments, a design-focused Urban Affairs forum, and the TSA poster competition and exhibition. The TSA also sponsors Doors Open Toronto and the Toronto the Good party.
