The objective of the current International Gastronomic Center competition for architecture students is the creation of a space for cultural exchange through gastronomy. In this spirit, the International Gastronomic Center (IGC) will be a space for chefs from all around the world to exchange knowledge and share their experience in order to promote gastronomic research and for their own personal and professional enrichment.

The 2013 Urban Design and Architecture Awards recognize and celebrate excellence in the design of our urban environment. A high quality urban environment creates a sense of pride, improves the image of the City and is integral to developing a vibrant and sustainable community and a higher quality of life. The basic eligibility requirements are that projects must have been completed after September 2, 2011 and before August 30, 2013 and must be located  in Hamilton.
